All right guys, as Sev posted here, we're on the lookout for a new theme for the site. If you're not a Sponsor and can't see the post, I'll quote it.

Quote:

I was talking with Kat the other week about where SvF should go after Season 1 wraps. We kicked around some ideas, nothing definite though. But she did make a good point that we might want to go ahead and redesign the look and feel of the SvF website to make it look a little more unique, separate from RvB, more in line with the dramatic turn of FlameWar, perhaps. She suggested making it a contest for all the graphically-talented fans, and I tend to agree. I'll probably make a new thread for that once Episode 7 hits. Anyone with a more high-tech-looking idea, feel free to start developing it.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help for coming up with a new design for the site. This site uses PostNuke, and there are lots of different themes out there for it. Google is your friend.

Requirements:
- Make sure the theme is built for PostNuke (0.750 Gold compatible is recommended)
- It can be Auto Theme or Xanthia (Don't worry if that doesn't make much sense, all PostNuke themes are one of the two)
- Must be free (Unless you want to pay for it, or we find a really really good theme and a bunch of people want to chip in)
- Must look fairly professional. I'd rather avoid a theme that has a lot of black in it.

If you find some themes you like, post links to them here. If you get a chance, check out other people's links and tell me what you think. Please don't just post links to sites with themes, actually review the themes and post which ones you liked the most and which ones you think would best work with this site.

I'm not saying "Don't post them" but the vast majority of professionally done sites don't use black/dark backgrounds. If you find some that look good, post them and we'll check them out Smile

These should be compatible with PostNuke.

I guess when I made the suggestion I was looking for people to make something a little more customized, not to just pick another theme and go to town. Are there templates we can work with or something to do a customized look? I know nothing about this other than the actual graphic design part.

Kat- I found this. it called auto theme in which you can use an html editor to edit a template for a PN site.

I can't create themes (either with Auto Theme or Xanthia) from scratch, I don't have the talent or experience (let alone the time it takes to make a new one). I can, however, modify them fairly easily.

So if you find a theme that looks "kinda" like how you want it to look, I can take it and modify it as needed.
